RGG Studio's remaster utilizes the proprietary Dragon Engine, first demonstrated in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Console ports are currently available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while the Windows edition is hosted on Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck.
The 30th Anniversary Edition downloadable content includes the 30th Anniversary Soundtrack Collection. The Creators' Picks selection is streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited. A crossfade trailer is streaming on the Virtua Fighter YouTube channel.
Sega published "Virtua Fighter 5 Official Sound" and "Final Showdown Official Sound" in 2012, currently available through streaming platforms. Music is by Tatsutoshi Narita, Shinichi Goto, Fumio Ito, Tomoya Koga, and Naoyuki Machida of Sega Sound Team. The Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. opening movie features vocals by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi.
