Developed by Warp, interactive radio drama Real Sound: Kaze no Regret launched for Sega Saturn in July of 1997 in Japan. Music for the game is written by Mother series co-composer Keiichi Suzuki.
Design for the game was overseen by Kenji Eno with a script written by Yūji Sakamoto, featuring ending theme "Hitotsu Dake" by Akiko Yano. Both Sega and Eno donated a thousand Saturn consoles and copies of the radio drama to the blind. A Sega Dreamcast port followed in March of 1999 in Japan.
Coinciding with the Saturn launch, Pony Canyon distributed the 27-track soundtrack on compact disc. Earlier this week, Sega published the digital edition of the Real Sound: Kaze no Regret game score through Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited, alongside the release of Warp's D2 soundtrack and image albums. Excerpts of all tracks are streaming on digital music store Ototoy.
