Launch trailer debuts for Arcade Archives Rave Racer
Hamster Corporation has posted the launch trailer for Arcade Archives Rave Racer for Nintendo Switch and PS4 consoles. ACA2 Rave Racer includes Time Attack mode and Variable Refresh Rate as additional features, available for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Directed by Kenji Wakabayashi, with game design by Fumihiro Tanaka, the third arcade title in the Ridge Racer series arrived in arcades in Japan in July of 1995, running on Namco System 22 hardware.

Victor Entertainment published "Namco Game Sound Express Vol.24 Rave Racer" in October of 1995. The 17-track album by Shinji Hosoe, Ayako Saso, Takayuki Aihara and Nobuyoshi Sano recently became available through streaming platforms, published by Bandai Namco Game Music.


Arrangement album "Rave Racer Remix -30th Anniv. Sounds" premiered earlier this month in Japan, pressed on two compact discs. The album ships domestically from distributors CDJapan and Playasia, bundled with an eight-page booklet. A five-minute crossfade music trailer is streaming on SweepRecord YouTube channel.

The “Arcade Archives” (ACA) series is developed with the concept of faithfully reproducing classic arcade games, staying true to its original.

In ORIGINAL MODE, you’ll find a variety of convenient features that make revisiting these classic titles even more enjoyable. These include difficulty and display settings, button remapping, rapid-fire options, the ability to create multiple save files at any time, and even a rewind function to undo your last move. TIME ATTACK MODE focuses on how quickly you can complete the game, regardless of the score you achieve. What’s more, with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support, the gameplay can be reproduced even more accurately, closer to the original arcade experience.
