Capcom's action role-playing game Monster Hunter Rise has joined the PlayStation Plus Extra subscription catalog, available for PS4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
Rise situates players in the serene mountainous abode of Kamura Village, introducing original hunting grounds, including ancient Shrine Ruins and lush Flooded Forest. Using the wirebug tool, hunters can scale tall mountains and perform aerial dodges to evade attacks.
Capcom's record label Suleputer published the compact disc release of the soundtrack on four discs, shipping domestically through distributors CDJapan and Play-Asia. Weighing in at 109 tracks in total, the Monster Hunter Rise soundtrack is by lead composer Satoshi Hori, in collaboration with Miwako Chinone, Mana Ogura, Nao Sato, Masahiro Ohki and Reo Uratani.
A six-track EP features an arrangement of "Proof of a Hero" by Masato Kouda. "Extra Tracks," comprised of eight tracks from the 3.0 free update content, is also streaming on Spotify. A behind-the-scenes video can be viewed on the Monster Hunter YouTube channel.
Monster Hunter Rise is also available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, along with Windows through Steam. The preview EP, original soundtrack album, and Extra Tracks compilation are streaming on Spotify.
