Parasol Superstars bundles Spica Adventure with Parasol Stars
Preorders have opened at publisher ININ Games for the newly-announced Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III, bundling platformers Spica Adventure and Parasol Stars in one combined package. The digital edition is playable on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.

Spica Adventure sports a retro pop art arcade aesthetic, available for the first time outside Japan. Platforming gameplay centers on protagonist Nico's use of an extraordinary umbrella for jumping, floating and striking, inspired by the iconic yellow parasol from Parasol Stars.

The 2D side-scrolling action game by Taito was developed in 2001 for mobile phones and arcades. Now with online features, the console port supports competitive rankings among players worldwide on online leaderboards. Music is composed by Hiroki Yamamoto and Sayoko Ueda of Zuntata. The 15-track soundtrack album is available through streaming platforms.


Taito published Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III for the NEC PC Engine on February 15th of 1991.

The sequel to Rainbow Islands and the third installment in the Bubble Bobble franchise stars Bubby and Bobby in their human form. The brothers are equipped with multipurpose parasols used as parachutes, or in repelling enemy characters. Music for the game is by Noriyuki Iwadare.

Strictly Limited Games has opened preorders for the of Parasol Superstars Special Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 consoles. The collectors box ships with an artbook, game manual, and the soundtrack album on compact disc.
