Parasol Superstars will launch on April 14th, published by ININ Games. The compilation includes both platformers Spica Adventure and Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III, available for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.

Spica Adventure sports a retro pop art arcade aesthetic, available for the first time outside Japan. Platforming gameplay centers on protagonist Nico's use of an extraordinary umbrella for jumping, floating, striking, and deflecting projectiles—inspired by the yellow parasol from Parasol Stars.

The 2D side-scrolling action game by Taito debuted on mobile phones in 2003 and arrived in arcades in 2005. Now with online features, the console port supports competitive rankings among players worldwide on online leaderboards. Music is composed by Hiroki Yamamoto and Sayoko Ueda of Zuntata. The 15-track soundtrack album is available through streaming platforms.


Taito published Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III for the NEC PC Engine on February 15th, 1991.

The sequel to Rainbow Islands and the third installment in the Bubble Bobble franchise stars Bubby and Bobby in their human form. The brothers are equipped with multipurpose parasols used as parachutes, or in repelling enemy attacks. Music is by Noriyuki Iwadare.

Strictly Limited Games has opened preorders for the Special Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 consoles. The collectors box includes an art book with original design documents, game manual, and album pressed on compact disc.
