Horizon Forbidden West co-composer Oleksa Lozowchuk served as principal composer and music director, in collaboration with co-composers Antonio Gradanti, Jim Bonney, with featured collaborators Interleave and Juliette Jones.
The music director describes the game's soundtrack as "a space opera blending a symphonic/modern score, Broadway spectacle, and eclectic faction radio stations, all with 'serious craziness' thanks to Obsidian's inspiring canvas."

"Fibonacci," "Give Me Your Hand" and "Boarst Rockets" have been treated to animated music videos, streaming on the Obsidian Entertainment YouTube channel. "It's Auntie's Choice," is inspired by the original game's Spacer's Choice jingle by Justin E. Bell, featuring vocals by Jennifer Blackwell and Bank of Harmony.
The setting of The Outer Worlds 2 is the affluent Arcadia star system—home of skip drive technology—engulfed in a factional war. The authoritarian Protectorate of Arcadia vies for control, challenged both by a hyper-capitalist megacorporate invasion and the rebellion of their religious order. As an agent of the Earth Directorate, the player's choices will shape the fate of the entire galaxy.
Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the action role-playing game is available for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, published by Xbox Game Studios.
