Square Enix has scheduled the release of the compact disc edition of Final Fantasy II Pixel Remaster Original Soundtrack for February 18th. Preorders have opened at the Square Enix store for North America and Europe, along with distributor CDJapan.

Composed by Nobuo Uematsu, the digital soundtrack is hosted on Steam, comprised of newly recorded arrangements by Reo Uratani, Hidenori Miyanaga, Shingo Kataoka, Eri Tsunemoto, Masaya Tsunemoto, and Daisuke Shiiba.

Uratani contributed as a co-composer on the score for Capcom's Monster Hunter Rise, and here arranges the Final Fantasy II opening theme and "Battle Scene A." Miyanaga serves as sound director at Square Enix's Osaka branch and arranged the Prelude and the Inn theme. The two collaborated on arranging "Battle Scene B."

Kataoka previously served as sound director on Resident Evil Revelations and arranged multiple tracks, including the main theme, Imperial Army Theme, "Battle Scene 1," the town theme, the chocobo theme, and dungeon theme. Tsunemoto contributed arrangements of multiple tracks, including "Reunion," "Castle Pandemonium," "Battle Scene 2," "Victory" and "Rebel Army Theme." The longest track present in the game, "Finale," is arranged by Shiiba, composer of the Heartreasure: Stellar Journey soundtrack.

Final Fantasy II Pixel Remaster is also available for Nintendo Switch and PS4 consoles, along with Windows through Steam, and mobile devices. Excerpts of all 27 music tracks are streaming on the official album website and digital music store Ototoy.
