Cassette Beasts soundtrack published as vinyl and audio cassette

Developed by Bytten Studio, open-world role-playing game Cassette Beasts features music composed by Joel Baylis with vocals by Shelby Harvey.
The independently developed monster-taming title takes place on the fictional the island of New Wirral. Players are challenged to collect monsters by recording the beasts to a collection of trusty cassette tapes. Monster allies engage in turn-based battles, and can be fused to synthesize more powerful hybrids.
Publisher Black Screen Records in Europe has opened orders for the double vinyl soundtrack and audio cassette, in addition to the vinyl & tape bundle. The two-disc analog record release is decorated with original artwork by Sami Briggs. Mastering for vinyl is by Christian Bethge. Preorders have opened for the vinyl soundtrack at distributors Light in the Attic in Seattle and PixelCrib in Australia.
Baylis writes: "My goal when writing the music for ‘Cassette Beasts‘ was to make something that felt somewhere between a role-playing game soundtrack and an 80’s synth rock album. Despite its influences, I feel like it ended up being rather unique. It’s quite hard to pin a genre onto these tracks and the collection itself varies greatly in vibes as well as styles."
The digital edition of the 65-track score can be purchase through Bandcamp and Steam, with streaming on Spotify. Cassette Beasts, published by Raw Fury, is available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X|S. The Windows and Linux edition on Steam is verified for use with the Steam Deck.
