Two separate soundtracks published for Ys III, representing the PC-8801 and the Sharp X68000 computer port, are available for streaming on Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited. Music is composed by Mieko Ishikawa for Falcom Sound Team jdk.
An enhanced port for PC Engine CD-ROM², converted by AlfaSystem, arrived in Japan on March 22nd, 1991, published by Hudson Soft. The port integrated animated cutscenes and voice acting, along with music arrangements by Ryo Yonemitsu.
The storyline of Ys III: Wanderers from Ys served as the basis of the 2005 remake Ys: the Oath in Felghana. A 40-minute soundtrack preview is streaming on Wayô Records' YouTube channel.
