Jaleco published developer Aicom's action-adventure game Magic John in September of 1990, exclusively for the Nintendo Famicom console in Japan. Jaleco's English-language localization for the Nintendo Entertainment System gave the dialog a California surfer makeover, renaming the player character "Jake" and his imperiled girlfriend "Allison."
In January of 2011, Clarice Disc published "Rom Cassette Disc In JALECO," pressed on compact disc. The compilation included seven music tracks from the game, composed by Kazuo Sawa and Toshiko Tasaki. Excerpts are streaming on the sample listening video hosted on the City Connection YouTube channel, starting at the 47 minute mark.
