This month, Thatgamecompany commemorates the 19th anniversary of the release of flOw. The Original Game Soundtrack by Austin Wintory is now available for streaming on YouTube Music, SoundCloud, and Amazon Music Unlimited.

The redesign of a master's thesis project, Jenova Chen and Nicholas Clark designed the PlayStation 3 edition for release in 2007. A PlayStation Portable port launched the following year. flOw has the player directing the movements of an aquatic microorganism.

Dynamic difficulty adjustment sought to make the game approachable, allowing players to intuitively customize their game experience, regardless of an individual's skill level. Up to four players can play on the same screen at one time.

While recording the Traveler Symphony, Wintory conducted an arrangement by frequent collaborator Brian LaGuardia, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and London Voices Choir. "Innocence" is hosted on Bandcamp and featured with notation in an installment of the "As Noted" video series.

Previously published via iTunes and the PlayStation Network by Sony Interactive Entertainment, flOw Original Soundtrack is hosted on the composer's Bandcamp page, with streaming on Spotify. Ending track "Gratitude" features cellist Tina Guo.

From Thatgamecompany page:
Welcome to the hypnotic, deep blue abyss where bioluminescent creatures swim above and below you as you explore, evolve and survive. With an embedded design of DDA (dynamic difficulty adjustment), players with differing skill levels can intuitively customize their game experience and enjoy the game at their own pace. Play as one of 5 creatures, each in a unique environment. Lose yourself in the crisp “deep blue” and use the SIXAXIS wireless controller for an organic experience that will allow you to glide, flit, and flOw through the universe.
