Set between the events of "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi," the protagonist and sidekick Nix, played by Dee Bradley Baker, attempt ‘one of the biggest heists that the Outer Rim has ever seen.' Utilizing the proprietary Snowdrop game engine, the gameplay includes a branching dialogue system, varied ground combat, starship battles, and vehicular skirmishes.
Music for Star Wars Outlaws is composed by Wilbert Roget II, who is no stranger to the Star Wars universe. The musician was responsible for music editing on 2008’s Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and went on to score the soundtracks for Star Wars: The Old Republic in 2011 and Star Wars: Vader Immortal in 2019.
"Songs from the Underworld" features cantina music composed by Cody Matthew Johnson of Trek to Yomi. The 26-track album, published by Walt Disney Records in association with Lucasfilm Ltd., features Galaxy Rejects, Ya-Ya Melodies, The Wizards Are Alright, Maia and the Dewbacks, Shukko, The Ice Brethren, Uvi Ressira, and Remla Moonis, among other artists.
Star Wars Outlaws is currently available for Windows through Steam and the Epic Games Store, along with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The soundtrack album is streaming on Spotify and SoundCloud, featuring additional music by Kazuma Jinnouchi and Jon Everist.
