Weapon-based fighting game Soulcalibur III debuted on the PlayStation 2 console in 2005 and appeared in arcades the following year.

Victor Entertainment published soundtrack album "Soulcalibur III: Legend of Sounds" in November of 2005, produced by Namco and pressed on two compact discs. Music for the game is composed by sound director Junichi Nakatsuru, in collaboration with sound designers Keiki Kobayashi and Ryuichi Takada, featuring the Masatsugu Shinozaki strings ensemble.

The 62-track album is now available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited. The 20th anniversary trailer is streaming on Bandai Namco's YouTube channel.
