Sonic X Shadow Generations joins PlayStation Plus Extra on Tuesday
Sonic X Shadow Generations for PS4 and PlayStation 5 consoles joins the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog on Tuesday, June 16th. Sega's complete remaster introduces an all-new standalone campaign for Shadow the Hedgehog.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the franchise, the plot of Generations centers on Doctor Eggman discovering a means of traveling back in time. Modern Sonic must return to the past and team up with his Classic counterpart in a reimagined Green Hill zone. Classic levels revisit the vibe of the original trilogy, while the modern 3D platforming segments more closely resemble those of Sonic Colors.

Perfect Reflections: Sonic X Shadow Generations Original Soundtrack is streaming on YouTube Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes a digital artbook, soundtrack, and extra BGM pack.


Sega published Sonic Generations for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, and through Steam in November of 2011, with "Sonic Generations Original Soundtrack: Blue Blur" premiering the following January. The two-part digital soundtrack features music composed and arranged by Jun Senoue, Richard Jacques, Hideki Naganuma, and Tomoya Ohtani, among other artists.

Sonic X Shadow Generations is also available for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. The Windows PC edition is hosted on Steam and the Epic Games Store, verified for use with the Steam Deck.
