Final Fantasy XVI joins the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog on June 16th
PlayStation 5 action role-playing game Final Fantasy XVI joins the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog on Tuesday, June 16th. Protagonist Clive Rosfield, guardian of his younger brother Joshua, explores the medieval fantasy realm of Valisthea in a conflict between nations for control over spectacular Eikonic powers.

Composed primarily by Masayoshi Soken of Final Fantasy XIV Online, the 181-track Original Soundtrack is hosted on Steam, with streaming on Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited. Additional music is composed by Daiki Ishikawa, Takafumi Imamura, Justin Frieden, and Saya Yasaki.

Nobuo Uematsu contributed "The Lion and the Hare – The Nysa Defile" from the prologue opening sequence, together with co-composing credits on several themes, including main menu theme "Land of Eikons" and "Away (Overture)," incorporating the Final Fantasy Prelude motif.


The Original Soundtrack Ultimate Edition, including cutscene background music, ships on eight compact discs from the Square Enix Store for North America and distributor CDJapan. DLC Soundtrack - From Spire to Sea is hosted on Apple Music and YouTube Music.

Final Fantasy XVI is also available for Xbox Series X|S consoles, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Complete Edition includes downloadable contents “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide.”
