Konami has published the Silent Hill f release date trailer, coinciding with today's State of Play presentation. Set in the 1960's, the story of the psychological horror game follows protagonist Hinako Shimizu, as she witnesses a strange fog settle on her town, turning the secluded rural area of Ebisugaoka into a haunting nightmare.

Developed by NeoBards Entertainment in Taiwan, the survival horror game will launch on September 25th for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, along with Windows via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The scenario is by Ryukishi07 of the visual novel series Higurashi When They Cry, with creature and character design by kera.

As outlined in the Silent Hill Transmission livestream, series composer Akira Yamaoka is scoring music attending the supernatural phenomenon known as "Fog World," while Kensuke Inage will handle the "Otherworld" themes, described in this installment as the Dark Shrine. Additional music is contributed by 7th Expansion composers dai and xaki.
