Sid Meier's Civilization VII main theme "Live Gloriously" premieres

Developed by Firaxis Games, Sid Meier's Civilization VII is planned for release in February of 2025, published by 2K Games. The gameplay trailer has premiered on the PlayStation YouTube channel. Main theme "Live Gloriously" is composed by Christopher Tin.
The musician commented via the description of the YouTube upload, "Civ VII's innovative three-act structure inspired me to create a new piece that was actually composed of three separate musical themes (The Iliad, Beowulf, Ramayana), with a fourth text (Popul Vuh) serving as a musical bridge. Together with the Civ VII creative team, we developed the musical concept to align with the game's core narrative concept: that history is a global story of human achievement, and that the lessons of the past can still inspire our lives in the present."
The strategy game depicts three Ages, with the player selecting a new civilization at the onset of each new Age. The Antiquity Age spans Ancient and Classical eras. The Exploration Age covers the Medieval and Renaissance eras. The Modern Age begins with the Industrial Revolution. Between each Age a crisis event is introduced, influencing following historical events.
Civilization VII invites players to pursue an immersive solo experience or tackle online multiplayer gameplay. Twelve music tracks from the Original Soundtrack playlist are streaming YouTube Music. Roland Rizzo composed "Greece," "Rome," "Maya," and "Aksum" Antiquity Civ Themes, along with "Shola Indians," and "Normans" Exploration Civ Themes. Geoff Knorr composed "Egypt," "Han China," "Khmer," "Maurya India" and "Mississippians" Antiquity Civ Themes along with "Shawnee" and "Chola India" Exploration Civ Themes.
Civilization VII will launch on February 11th for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, along with Windows, Mac, and Linux through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
