Brooklyn-based studio Moving Pieces Interactive's Shoulders of Giants: Ultimate, utilizing Unreal Engine 5, has launched for PlayStation 5 and Windows through Steam.

Three years in the making, the colorful sci-fi roguelike invites players to simultaneously control a sword-wielding mech and a gunslinging space frog. The deep space storyline centers on a threat to the galaxy, posed by the forces of Entropy corrupting inhabitable planets. Guided by the psychic Owl, a scrappy team of space survivors set out to restore the balance.

Music for Shoulders of Giants is by Czech clarinetist and composer Floex (Tomáš Dvořák). The 40-minute electronic-based soundtrack album is available through the composer's Bandcamp page. Additional electronic drum programming is by Jakub Tengler, with Indian flute recording by Hugo, and mastering by Matous Godik.

Shoulders of Giants is currently available for Windows through the Epic Games Store, along with Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, supporting local co-op play, as well as four-player online co-op. The soundtrack is streaming on Spotify and YouTube Music.
