Developer Granzella Inc. has published the three-volume R-Type Final 2 Homage Stage Soundtrack, available for streaming on Spotify and YouTube Music. The compilation bundles background music from the first and second DLC stage passes for the shoot-em-up title.

Volume One features fourteen tracks created for "homage stages," patterned after content from the original R-Type and R-Type Delta. Volume Two harkens back to R-Type II and R-Type Final through additional homage stage content. Volume Three debuts today on Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited.

R-Type Final 2 is available for purchase for Windows through Steam, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X|S. A music video for ending theme "Monochrome," performed by Mai Iida, can be viewed on YouTube, courtesy of the developer.

Publisher NIS America's Inaugural Flight and Limited Edition releases of R-Type Final 2 ship with the soundtrack CD. The R-Type Final 2 Complete Soundtrack on Steam contains 26 music tracks from the game.
