Ubisoft has shared the first images previewing the forthcoming Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Trilogy vinyl soundtrack album. Published by Laced Records of London, the preorders for the analog record set will open soon, preceding the trilogy's 21st anniversary of launch in November.

Proposed by Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot in 2001, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2003) sought to capture the excitement of the franchise in a 3D action-adventure game for modern consoles. Designer and scenario writer Jordan Mechner collaborated with programmers to implement the "Rewind" feature, allowing players to back up ten seconds to retry tricky gameplay sequences.

Development on Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (2004) strove to introduce a darker tone by involving an angrier antagonist and more violent enemy encounters. This thematic element was complemented by licensed songs from by American band Godsmack, alongside original music by composers Inon Zur and Stuart Chatwood.

The scenario of Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (2005) paid homage to the origins of the franchise. The Prince must escape from prison, putting new parkour techniques to use in traversing the environment and evading enemy detection. Music from the trilogy is published by Ubisoft Music, available for streaming on Spotify.
