Sony Interactive Entertainment has published three soundtrack albums from the PoPoLoCrois series of medieval fantasy role-playing games. The PoPoLoCrois Monogatari, PoPoRoGue, and PoPoLoCRoIS: A New Departure game scores are now available for streaming on Spotify.

In 1996, PoPoLoCrois Monogatari launched for the PlayStation console in Japan, published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Record label Nippon Columbia pressed the game soundtrack on compact disc, composed by Yoshiyuki Sahashi and Tetsuo Ishikawa. The sprite-based art style was inspired by the manga series, created by Yohsuke Tamori in the late '70s and later translated into several televised animated adaptations.

Developer G-Artists followed up with the puzzle game Intelligent Qube, currently available as part of the Classic Games catalog for PS4 and PlayStation 5. Direct sequel PoPoRoGue launched in 1998, starring Prince Pietro of the kingdom of Popolocrois. Music for the game is by Sahashi and Ishikawa, with additional tracks by Yoshifumi Iio and Yuko Araki.

A third installment, PoPoLoCrois Monogatari II, launched in 2000. Sony Music Entertainment published the soundtrack CD, featuring compositions by Sahashi, Ishikawa, and Iio. The three composers returned to score PoPoLoCRoIS: A New Departure in 2002, marking the series' debut on the PlayStation 2 console.
