Developed by Finnish studio Colossal Order, Cities: Skylines II has launched for Windows through Steam. Jonne Valtonen returns as music composer. Paradox Interactive Forum development diary installment #12 details sound and music design.
"The first piece [composed] was for the Menu that would introduce an identifiable, light, and carefree theme," says Valtonen in the forum update. "City building takes time and things evolve gradually and this is what I wanted the music to reflect."
Cities Skylines Remastered launched in February for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The two-hour album "Cities: Skylines Original Game Soundtrack," composed by Valtonen with Jani Laaksonen, is available for streaming on Amazon Music Unlimited, Spotify, and YouTube Music.

Mayors! We’re hard at work getting the game ready for release. We've come to realize that we need more time to reach the quality targets we've set for Console. We want to provide the best experience for our players, we’re updating the release window for Xbox & PS5 to Spring 2024. pic.twitter.com/eljCTi0deF
