Atlus posts digest video from Persona 5 Special Big Band concert
A behind-the-scenes video showcasing a recording session of "Rivers In the Desert - Persona 5 Special Big Band Remix" can now be viewed on the Atlus Game Music YouTube channel. Arranged by Charlie Rosen, the music track is featured in an event battle added to free-to-play role-playing game Persona 5: The Phantom X.

A digest video from the Persona 5 Special Big Band Concert is comprised of live renditions of "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There," "Aria of the Soul," "Beneath the Mask," "Will Power," and "Take Over." Held on December 2nd through the 5th at the Shinjuku Cultural Centre and Kobe International Hall, the concert featured Persona 5 vocalist Lyn Inaizumi and band leader Eric Miyashiro on trumpet.


December's concert drew inspiration from The 8-Bit Big Band jazz fusion covers, arranged and produced by Rosen. "Beneath the Mask" feat. Aisha Jackson and "Last Surprise," co-arranged by Button Masher, feat. Jonah Nilsson of Dirty Loops, appear on "Album 4 - Game Changer." "Tokyo Daylight," feat. Andy Arthur Smith, appears on "Album 5 - Orchestrator Emulator."

Both compilation albums, published via Bandcamp, are mixed by engineer John Kilgore, with mastering by Alan Silverman. "Orchestrator Emulator" was nominated in the category of Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.


Music culture website "ARBAN" hosted an interview with Miyashiro, published in English and Japanese prior to the concert. The contents include embedded preview demo tracks of "Whims of Fate" and "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There."

Atlus role-playing game Persona 5 Royal is now part of the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog. The Ultimate Edition for PS4 joins PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, including the DLC Pack, Battle Bundle, and Persona Bundle downloadable content.

The Original Soundtrack and Royal expansion features music composed by Shoji Meguro, Toshiki Konishi, Ryota Kozuka, Atsushi Kitajoh, and Kenichi Tsuchiya.
