Set in a dystopian vision of Krakow, Poland in 2084, neural police detectives belonging to the Observers unit are licensed to hack into the minds of suspects, using a device called the Dream Eater. The player assumes the role of detective Daniel Lazarski, portrayed by actor Rutger Hauer—known for playing Roy Batty in the 1982 science fiction film "Blade Runner."
Warner Music published Observer: System Redux Original Game Soundtrack, available through streaming platforms. The 14-track soundtrack from the dystopian science fiction title is by Arkadiusz Reikowski, featuring vocalist Księżyc.
The music composer comments via Steam, “I’m deeply in love with Ghost in the Shell and the Akira soundtrack and I wanted to create similar emotions while scoring Observer."
Observer: System Redux is currently available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC through Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck. The digital artbook and soundtrack are hosted on Steam and GOG.com. A behind-the-scenes featurette can be viewed on the PlayStation YouTube channel.
From the Nintendo product page:
The year is 2084. The future has turned out much darker than anyone could imagine. First, there was the Nanophage. A digital plague that killed thousands upon thousands of those who chose to augment their minds and bodies. Then came the War, leaving both the West and the East decimated and shattered. With no one left to seize power, corporations took over and forged their own crooked empires. You are an Observer – a tool of corporate oppression. Feared and despised, you hack into the darkest corners of your suspects’ minds. You creep into their dreams, expose their fears, and extract whatever your investigation may require.GOG.com - Observer System Redux Deluxe Edition
