Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of PlayStation role-playing game, Square Enix has published arrangement album "Midnight Jazz: Final Fantasy IX" on compact disc.

Overseen by music director Yuma Yamaguchi, the album reinterprets original compositions by Nobuo Uematsu from the PlayStation role-playing game. "The arrangements span piano, big band, and combo styles," reads the product page. Preorders have opened at the Square Enix store for North America and Europe, along with distributor CDJapan.

Six tracks are available as an EP streaming on Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited. Excerpts from the remaining tracks can be sampled on the official album website. Behind-the-scenes recordings, of "The Darkness of Eternity," "Tantalus's Theme" and "Eternal Harvest," are streaming on the publisher's YouTube channel.

The remastered port of Final Fantasy IX is available for iOS and Android devices, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One consoles. The Windows edition is hosted on Steam and GOG.com.
