Directed by Hideo Kojima, Solid Snake for the MSX2 home computer served as the direct sequel to 1987's Metal Gear. Protagonist Solid Snake of the Foxhound special forces unit is tasked with exfiltrating a kidnapped scientist from behind the enemy lines of the heavily fortified Zanzibarland fortress.
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake is included in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection: Master Collection Vol.1 for PS4 and PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The Windows PC edition is hosted on Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck.
