The triple vinyl set spans 31 specially remastered tracks from the 2007 first-person shooter for Xbox 360. Music is composed by Marty O’Donnell, Michael Salvatori, and C Paul Johnson. Sleeve artwork is by art director and concept artist Isaac Hannaford (aka Rhizus / Space Ship Guru), with additional box set artwork by graphic designer Maren Landsnes. A behind-the-scenes production process video is streaming on the Laced Records YouTube channel.
The Original Soundtrack was recorded at Studio X in Seattle, featuring 60-piece orchestra Northwest Sinfonia, conducted by David Sabee. The 24-voice custom-assembled choir was conducted by Joe Crnko. The digital edition is streaming on YouTube Music, Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited, published by Microsoft.
Halo 3 is included in the Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One and Series X|S, included with Xbox Game Pass Premium. The Windows PC edition is on Steam, published by Xbox Game Studios.
