First-person adventure game Amerzone launched in 1999 for Windows, directed by Syberia series designer Benoît Sokal. The Microids Studio Paris remake Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy is planned for release in the second quarter of 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S consoles, and Windows through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.

The first-person perspective places the player in the role of a young journalist who travels to a forgotten Latin American territory, devastated by years of bloody dictatorship. There, the goal is to fulfill the last wishes of the late explorer Valembois to search out the last egg of the mythical Great White Birds. Traversal of land, sea, and air is accomplished by means of a technological marvel called the Hydraflot.

A preview track from the upcoming score is streaming on Microids' YouTube channel. Music for the remake is by Inon Zur and Ori Zur. “I worked with Benoît Sokal for many years, and I liked him a lot, both as a person and an artist,” Inon Zur told Microids. “For me, it’s always a blast to be involved in another one of his incredible works.”
