Final Fantasy XIV launched for Nintendo Switch 2
The Nintendo Switch 2 edition of massively multiplayer online game Final Fantasy XIV has launched. The announcement trailer is streaming on the series' official YouTube channel.

The Evercold expansion (Patch 8.0) is planned for January of 2027, introducing a new zone, known as the Icebound Realm of the Fourth. Main explorable regions within the Fourth include Hringhorni, the Realmship of Fire and Naglfar, the Realmship of Water. An extended teaser trailer can be viewed on YouTube.


A Realm Reborn (Patch 2.0) for Windows PC and PlayStation 3 went online in August of 2013. Naoki Yoshida served as producer and director of Business Division 5's revamped launch, with key art contributed by Hiroshi Minagawa, Akihiko Yoshida, and Takeo Suzuki. The Music Blu-ray disc spans 119 tracks, featuring composition by Masayoshi Soken, Nobuo Uematsu, Tsuyoshi Sekito, and Naoshi Mizuta, among other artists.

Final Fantasy XIV Online - Complete Edition is also available for Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, along with Windows and Mac operating systems.
