Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake) included in the GOG Preservation Program
Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake) is now included in the GOG Preservation Program, available DRM-free for Windows. Originally launched for Nintendo DS in 2007, developed by Matrix Software, the 3D polygonal reimagining of the classic Super Nintendo role-playing game adds voice acting during cutscenes, and a music player to listen to the arranged soundtrack.

Music is composed by Nobuo Uematsu, arranged by Junya Nakano and Kenichiro Fukui. The Nintendo DS soundtrack is streaming on YouTube Music.

Prior to the launch of the Nintendo DS title, record label BMG JAPAN published "Tsukino Akari: Final Fantasy IV: Theme of Love" on compact disc, bundled with a promotional movie on Blu-ray. The vocal track revisiting Uematsu's romantic theme is performed by Megumi Ida, with lyrics by director Takashi Tokita. Last year, the vocalist uploaded a piano arrangement to YouTube, celebrating the 34th anniversary of the original game's launch.

Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake) and direct sequel Final Fantasy IV: The After Years are also available for iOS and Android devices, and Windows through Steam.

From the GOG.com product page:
The title first debuted in 1991 as the fourth installment in the FINAL FANTASY series. Wildly popular thanks to its unique characters and dramatic storylines, it went on to be ported to many different platforms.

FINAL FANTASY IV was the first title to introduce the Active Time Battle (ATB) system, which has become synonymous with the series. It also saw the introduction of the Augment system, which enabled the transfer of abilities from other characters and gave players an edge in battles.
