Dissidia Final Fantasy for PlayStation Portable celebrates 17th anniversary
Dissidia Final Fantasy launched for PlayStation Portable seventeen years ago, on this date. The one-on-one fighting game features heroes from the Final Fantasy mainline series installments as playable characters, given a redesigned by Tetsuya Nomura, alongside arrangements of classic battle tracks.

Square Enix published the Original Soundtrack on two compact discs on December 24th of 2008. Original music for the game is composed by Takeharu Ishimoto, featuring arrangements of compositions by Nobuo Uematsu from Final Fantasy I~XI.

Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Final Fantasy followed in March of 2011, serving as a prequel and expansion of the original title. Duodecim adds protagonist Lightning and arena Orphan's Cradle from Final Fantasy XIII, among other new playable characters and locations. The Original Soundtrack premiered in March of 2011, spanning three compact discs.
