Disney Interactive Entertainment published 3D platformer Epic Mickey in 2010 for the Nintendo Wii console. Overseen by Deus Ex director Warren Spector, Mickey Mouse joined Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in navigating a Wasteland of forgotten Disney characters.

The central gameplay mechanic has Mickey drawing and erase objects with a magic brush. Players collect virtual pins, tackle creative challenges, and uncover secrets within platforming levels inspired by animated films and shorts. Epic Mickey Original Game Score by Jim Dooley is streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited.

THQ Nordic's remake, developed by Purple Lamp, allows Mickey new dash, sprint and ground-pound maneuvers. Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is planned for release on September 24th for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, along with Windows through Steam and GOG.
