Directive 8020 prologue gameplay debuts on Supermassive YouTube channel
A thirteen-minute preview of prologue gameplay from Directive 8020 has premiered on developer Supermassive Games' YouTube channel. The footage appeared in the hands-on demo previewed for press and influencers at Gamescom in Cologne.

The latest entry in The Dark Pictures series of standalone horror games depicts a future scenario set deep in space. Colony ship Cassiopeia crash lands on a planet twelve light years from Earth, and the crew finds themselves pursued by a deadly alien threat.

Directive 8020 will launch in the first half of 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows through Steam. The science fiction psychological horror game's "Turning Points" story tree allows players to rewrite history and change the course of the story, exploring hidden paths and leading to multiple possible endings.

Supermassive Games' Digital Deluxe Edition comes bundled with the digital soundtrack by Dead Space series composer Jason Graves and licensed tracks to complement the mood of cosmic dread.
