Breath of Fire IV for Windows was co-developed by GOG to include English and Japanese-language localization, Improved DirectX game renderer, and an Improved audio engine, among other features. Enrollment in the DRM-free the GOG Preservation Program program is intended to ensure reliable compatibility with Windows personal computers in the future.
The Original Soundtrack by Yoshino Aoki is also on Steam, spanning 67 music tracks, available in MP3, FLAC, and AAC format, published by Suleputer. An Opening Animation video, featuring music composed by Taro Iwashiro, is streaming on the Capcom Online Games YouTube channel.
