Cooperative adventure game Blanc by developer Casus Ludi previously launched for Nintendo Switch and Windows through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The independent developer's announcement trailer premiered during June's Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase. Years in the making, Blanc depicts the journey of a wolf cub and a fawn stranded in a vast, snowy wilderness. Two players collaborate by controlling either companion through intuitive, text-free gameplay, either locally on the same screen or through online play.


All art for the game was completely hand-drawn on paper before translating those images into 3D graphics. Another stylistic choice informing the design of the game by creative director Rémi Gourrierec and illustrator Raphaël Beuchot was consciously limiting the protagonists' interactions to realistic animal behaviors.

The music score by Louis Godart is now available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music. A soundtrack bundle is available through Steam. The announcement trailer theme can be previewed on the composer's SoundCloud channel. Today's launch trailer can be viewed on the Gearbox YouTube channel.
