The campaign set in the distant future, where humanity's consciousness resides within robots, spans locations from floating orbital station Moebius to the decaying planet Vulcan. Placing a gameplay emphasis on player mobility, advanced battle android Hyper Unit ASKA can wall-run, slide, and leap to outmaneuver corrupted AI.
Music for the game is by Wioleta Wnorowska (Wiolation), responsible for composing and implementing music, audio direction and sound design, in collaboration with Quake II composer Sascha Dikiciyan (Sonic Mayhem).
The 22-track Official Game Soundtrack is hosted on Bandcamp, with streaming on Spotify and YouTube Music, containing in-game music and cutscenes cues. Final mix and mastering of music by VOLA default is by Rafał Smoleń and Michał Kupicz, with music by Sonic Mayhem (Sascha Dikiciyan) final mix and mastering by Dalton "SunniD" Miller.
"Metal Eden — Corrupted Memory Edition," comprised of Sonic Mayhem’s contributions to the score, features Gunship, Powerglove, and Benjamin Howell. The album is available digitally via Bandcamp, and as a Limited Edition Digipak featuring glitch-themed artwork by Rob Sherida.
Metal Eden is also available for Xbox Series X|S, along with Windows through Steam and GOG.com. The Corrupted Memory Edition launch trailer is streaming on YouTube.
