Preorders have opened at record label Cartridge Thunder for Ape Escape Originape Soundtracks in a Box by Soichi Terada, including four analog records. The vinyl release also ships from distributors Black Screen Records in Europe and PixelCrib in Australia.

In partnership with Far East Recording and officially licensed by Sony Computer Entertainment, the box set combines every track from Ape Escape, except those included in Apes in the Net, with one previously unreleased bonus track. Remastering for vinyl is by Justin Perkins.

PlayStation platforming adventure game Ape Escape is currently part of the PlayStation Plus Premium collection of classic game titles, enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters. The Japan Studio title, developed in 1999, is among the earliest PlayStation games to make full use of the DualShock controller's twin analog sticks.

Far East Recording's Originape Soundtracks album is streaming on YouTube Music, Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited.

From the Cartridge Thunder product page:
The music on this box set was meticulously put together by Justin Perkins of Mystery Room Mastering. Using Mr. Terada's premastered source files, the music was completely and specifically mastered for vinyl. Rounding out the audio is absolutely stunning artwork created by Gobo3D. CT worked with Gobo to recreate some of Ape Escape's most iconic characters, referencing the original JP guidebook and other promotional materials. The result is visually delicious 300dpi artwork that takes you straight back to 1999.
