Airframe Ultra open beta launched during Steam Next Fest
The open beta for combat racing game Airframe Ultra by developer Videocult of Rain World has launched, coinciding with Steam Next Fest. The playable demo features six fast-paced tracks and 30 weapons to employ against opponents.

Designed by Joar Jakobsson and James Primate, Airframe Ultra combines action-packed combat with a variety of brutal melee implements and fast-paced racing. Competing in split-screen and online multiplayer, collisions between combatants span a variety of gritty urban locales. The newly released Mix Fanfest trailer can be viewed on publisher Akupara Games' YouTube channel.

The open beta will be live until March 2nd at 9:00 AM, Pacific. No signups are required to participate.

From the Steam product page:
From the rusting shipyards of Slabtown to the sleek 'scrapers in Ellay... from the dune dens of the Ysidro edgelands to the hulking arcologies of the Texicali ZEGO zone, Airframe racers from all across Megacity West compete for fame, fortune and a chance at glory... three feet above or six feet below. You can have everything you've ever wanted. All you need to do is win.

Airframe Ultra is a fast-paced battle-racer where you compete with friends and foes in split-screen and online multiplayer. You can thrash with pipes, chains and plasma torches or leave them in the dust with boosts and pure white-knuckle cunning. Whatever it takes to win. So load up, make your racer, and settle things like a legend on the cracked asphalt streets of Megacity West!
