The NIS Online Store has opened preorders for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Limited Edition for PlayStation 5. The physical release ships with a softcover art book, hardcover journal, and "Seiren Songs" on compact disc.

The action role-playing game first arrived in 2016 and is currently available for iOS and Android, Windows through Steam and GOG, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles. The PS5 port launched this week in North America.

French label Wayô Records has published the Ys VIII soundtrack on vinyl and compact disc, featuring music by Falcom Sound Team jdk. Licenced by Nihon Falcom, the vinyl edition contains a total of 54 music tracks pressed to three blue marble analog records, shipping with a sixteen-page booklet with character illustrations.

Domestic preorders for vinyl and compact disc editions are open at Play-Asia. A half-hour preview video can be viewed on the Wayô Records YouTube channel. The holiday-themed arrangement EP "Christmas of Dana" is streaming on Spotify.
