Yakuza Kiwami has launched for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's remastered edition with enhanced graphics and improved framerates introduces various new language options for the first time, including French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

In Yakuza Kiwami, protagonist Kazuma Kiryu covers for his associates in organized crime and takes the blame for a murder. He spends ten years in prison, before returning to the red light district of Kamurocho. Upon his return, Kiryu is challenged by Majima, a ruthless competitor belonging to his former organization, the Tojo Clan. He becomes embroiled in a plot surrounding the daughter of a politician seeking to destroy the Tojo Clan.

The launch trailer for Yakuza Kiwami & Yakuza Kiwami 2 for Nintendo Switch 2 has premiered on publisher Sega's YouTube channel. The remaster is also available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, along with Windows through Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck. The digital soundtrack by Sega Sound Team is streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.
