Namco Legendary series adds Legend of Valkyrie Original Soundtrack

Bandai Namco has updated the company's Game Music portal, adding The Legend of Valkyrie Original Soundtrack to the Namco Legendary series of albums.

Namco's action-adventure game inspired by Norse mythology arrived in arcades in March of 1989, serving as a spiritual successor to Famicom title Valkyrie no Bōken. The game stars the sword-wielding Valkyrie and lizard companion, supporting simultaneous two-player play. A console port for PC Engine launched the following year.

The 17-track soundtrack album by Galaga'88 composer Hiroyuki Kawada is streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited. Excerpts of all tracks are streaming on digital music store Ototoy. Console port Arcade Archives: The Legend of Valkyrie is currently available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, published by Hamster Corporation.
