A release date trailer premiered during this week's Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, previewing exploration and combat within the fantasy game setting.As with Octopath Traveler 0, this original IP utilizes the HD-2D design methodology, positioning 2D pixel art characters within a polygonal 3D environment.
The previously released playable demo is by Square Enix internal studio Team Asano, led by game designer Tomoya Asano, in collaboration with Bravely Default II devs at Claytechworks. The gameplay preview provides a feel of the exploration, customization, and real-time combat aspects of the gameplay, and can be downloaded from the eShop for Nintendo Switch 2.
Preorders have opened for the Collector’s Edition, bundling the physical edition of the game with the "Faie and the Door of Time Tabletop Clock," and the Original Soundtrack pressed on four compact discs. Music for the game is composed by Yuto Moritani and Tomohiro Nakamachi.
