The 7th Guest VR Original Soundtrack treated to vinyl release

Composer Jonathan van den Wijngaarden has announced a limited-edition 180-gram vinyl publication for The 7th Guest VR Original Soundtrack

Preorders have opened via Bandcamp, with shipping planned for the end of September. Streaming on Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited, the digital soundtrack spans thirty music tracks, mastered by Brad Boatright of Audiosiege. The album features original 7th Guest themes by George A. Sanger, aka The Fat Man, and vocals performed by Lara Ausensi.

Developed by Vertigo Studios Rotterdam and featuring the original story penned by Matthew J. Costello, the reinvention of '90s mystery adventure game The 7th Guest brings challenging puzzles and immersive gameplay to PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest Pro, Quest 2, and SteamVR for Windows.

Utilizing volumetric video capture with 3D live-action graphics and voice acting performances, players can explore every corner of the Stauf mansion, unlocking brainteasers by stitching together clues. in addition, the developer introduces new puzzles intentionally designed to take advantage of the VR format.

The PlayStation Blog writes, "Eye-tracking allows you to delve into the intricate details of puzzles by focusing your eyes on specific pieces and areas within the rooms while the PS VR2 Sense controller’s adaptive triggers make every item feel tangible; PS VR2 headset feedback will convey the eerie presence of the characters as their stories unfold before your eyes."
