The 7th Guest Remake has launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store. Original music is composed by Jonathan van den Wijngaarden.

Co-developed by Exkee and publisher Vertigo Games, the remake for contemporary gaming platforms is based on the original story penned by Matthew J. Costello, appearing the '90s mystery adventure game The 7th Guest.

Utilizing volumetric video, live-action performances and voice acting are captured in full 3D. Players can explore every corner of the Stauf mansion to encounter carefully redesigned, all-new handcrafted puzzles.


In 2023, Vertigo Games brought the challenging puzzles and immersive gameplay of The 7th Guest to VR platforms. Wijngaarden's The 7th Guest VR soundtrack spans thirty music tracks, featuring vocals performed by Lara Ausensi. The limited-edition 180-gram vinyl ships via Bandcamp.

Owners of The 7th Guest VR for SteamVR or PlayStation VR2 receive the remake at no additional cost. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 ports are planned for release later this year. The Windows PC edition on Steam is verified for use with the Steam Deck.
