Hamster Corporation has published old school run-and-gun title Arcade Archives Super Contra for Nintendo Switch and PS4 consoles.

Konami's two-player co-op title Super Contra debuted in arcades in Japan on December 29th of 1987. Protagonists Bill Rizer and Lance Bean go head-to-head against a hostile alien invasion by the Gigeresque military organization "Red Falcon."

The direct sequel to Contra is included in Konami's compilation title Contra Anniversary Collection for consoles and Steam. Super Contra received a modified console port for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990. Adding three console-exclusive unique stages, the localized release was titled "Super C" in North America, and "Probotector II: Return of the Evil Forces" in Europe.

Music from the run-and-gun title, composed by Kazuki Muraoka and Motoaki Furukawa of the Konami Kukeiha Club, is streaming on Apple Music and Amazon Music Unlimited in Japan. Contra Anniversary Collection is available for Windows through Steam, along with PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
