Inspired by the Japanese manga illustrated by Buichi Terasawa, the fast-paced action platformer is based on the Captain Nelson’s treasure story arc, covered in the first twelve episodes of the animated series. Players can take on solo missions in story mode, selecting from three difficulty levels, or participate in the two-player co-operative mode.
Stereo Ronin Records has published Space Adventure Cobra – the Awakening Original Game Soundtrack, produced by Jonathan Garnier and Frédéric Claquin. The album by Jong is streaming on YouTube Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited, including the "Cobra" cover featuring vocalist Tricia Evy.
Space Adventure Cobra - The Awakening is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles, along with Windows through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the soundtrack, art book, bonus mission and in-game content.
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Space Adventure Cobra, French label Wayô Records published the animated series soundtrack album, produced by TMS Entertainment. The two-disc CD box set and triple vinyl publication is composed by Kentarô Haneda and Yûji Ôno. A fifty-minute preview video is streaming YouTube.
