Sega has slated the release of the Sonic Origins Plus expansion pack for June 23rd. The expanded compilation adds playable Amy Rose to the base game's Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD. In addition, all twelve Sonic Game Gear titles will be playable.

Sonic CD debuted for the Mega-CD home console in 1993 in Japan. Introducing the theme of time warps, Sonic gains the ability to visit the same stages in the past, present and future. Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog CD 20th Anniversary Edition digital album is available for streaming on Spotify and YouTube Music, featuring original music by Masafumi Ogata and Naofumi Hataya.

Sonic Origins is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Windows through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes additional music tracks from the Sega Mega Drive titles.
