Sega celebrates 40th anniversary of Enduro Racer launch
Record label Sega Music has posted to social media accounts, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the launch of Enduro Racer. The dirt bike racing game arrived in arcades in Japan on July 16th of 1986, showcasing off-road terrain and varying elevation in its level design.

As with the classic car racing game OutRun, launched the same year, Enduro Racer was directed by Yu Suzuki, with music composed by Master Hiro at Sega. Six music tracks are available through streaming platforms as part of the 'Sega Motorcycle Music History' compilation.

Record label Wave Master pressed the racing game compilation album on two compact discs in 2009, coinciding with the Comic Market 76 hobbyist convention held at the Tokyo Big Sight venue. All 54 tracks from Enduro Racer, Racing Hero, A.B.Cop, and Cool Riders are streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited.

Sega Music will release the retrospective album 'GP Rider 35th Anniv. Album' on July 30th in Japan. The 'Sound Shock' album series installment includes newly recorded tracks from the motorcycle racing game, music from console ports, and four bonus tracks.
