Samurai Spirits for Sega Mega Drive commemorates 30th anniversary
Developed by SNK, weapons-based fighting game Samurai Spirits arrived in arcades in Japan in July of 1993, and a month later for Neo Geo. The Sega Mega Drive port followed in November of 1994, introducing series protagonists Haohmaru and Nakoruru to a broader audience.

Set in the isolationist Sakoku period of the Tokugawa shogunate in 18th century Japan, Samurai Spirits is part of the Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection, verified for use with the Steam Deck. The six included series titles feature online battle modes, museum modes, and music players.

Music for the game is by SNK Sound Team (Shinsekai Gakkyoku Zatsugidan). The 29-track soundtrack album is streaming on Youtube Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited.
