Romancing SaGa 2 added to the GOG Preservation Program
Developed in collaboration with ArtePiazza, the Windows PC remaster of Romancing SaGa 2 is now available DRM-free via GOG.com. The GOG Preservation Program ensures classic games remain playable on Windows operating systems.

The HD remaster adds features for improved user interface, auto-save function and a New Game+ mode , while preserving the original sprite-based graphical design. A video soundtrack playlist, composed by Kenji Ito, is hosted on YouTube Music, featuring in-game footage and character illustrations by Tomomi Kobayashi.

Romancing SaGa 2 is also available for iOS and Android devices, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles. The Windows PC edition is on Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck.

Designed by Akitoshi Kawazu, Romancing SaGa 2 launched on December 10, 1993 for the Super Famicom home console. The turn-based role-playing game is the fifth entry in the SaGa series, following the "Final Fantasy Legend" trilogy for Game Boy.

The video soundtrack is based on the Revival Disc Blu-ray, which features commentary by the composer, producer Masanori Ichikawa, and playwright Moku Tochibori. The Blu-Ray disc ships domestically from distributors CDJapan and Playasia.
